Things We All Wonder About A Window Wash For High Buildings

January 22, 2012 Posted by jamal

If you live in a tall apartment block, if you work in a tall office block, or if you have ever driven past a tall hotel, you have probably wondered what they do in order to get a window wash for high buildings. In the absence of balconies or anything else to stand on, you can not imagine how they ever get the outside of those windows clean. Yet, miraculously, they sparkle.

There are a couple of methods which are used to clean the glass panes on tall buildings. One way is to lower a platform from the roof, like a primitive lift. The workers stand on the platform from where they are able to wash the glass. In the interest of their safety, the cleaners should wear harnesses which will protect them in case something goes wrong.

Abseiling is another method which is commonly used to clean the windows on skyscrapers and other tall structures. Although abseiling is usually done on mountain faces, it is also very useful in these circumstances. Because it can be dangerous to someone with no abseiling experience and because it is a job which would scare many people, people who do this kind of job should be specially trained.

Cherry pickers, booms and cranes have also been used to wash the windows on tall constructions. A cherry picker is a type of hydraulic lift. A person stands at the end of a beam in a special box or on a platform and is then lifted into the air. Another option is to install a boom or a crane on the roof of the building, which would then lower the cleaner from above.

This is the kind of job which will appeal to those with a sense of adventure and who love being outdoors. If you enjoy the occasional rush of adrenaline and panoramic views of big cities, then you might be suited to this profession. If however, you suffer from a fear of heights, also known as vertigo, then maybe you should consider another job.

People who are employed in this industry are paid adequately to compensate for the risky nature of the job. While great care is taken to ensure their safety, conditions can be difficult, particularly as it can be very windy so high above the ground. Because it can be quite a lucrative job choice it is something many people chose to do, provided they are daring enough.

Perhaps swinging like a monkey from the room of a skyscraper is not your career of choice. In this case you might have noticed someone hanging around outside your bedroom or office window. Alternatively, maybe you have had to draw the curtain quickly because of an unexpected cleaner with a full view into your bedroom.

Maybe you have never really paid any attention to them. If this is the case, take a moment to think about how your windows stay clean. Because there are brave cleaners whom deserve our gratitude for giving us a window wash for high buildings

Background Of Green Belts And Their Share To Mother Nature

A Green Belt is not only about your expertise level in martial arts but also with the improvement of the earth. A Green Belt is really an unseen line specified as undeveloped, which remains so to allow wildlife to come back and gain a foothold in the area. These are similar to but distinctive from “greenways” and “green wedges,” which can run through an urban area instead of around it.

Green Belts greatly benefit the people that live within them despite the fact that such specified areas are seriously restricted in terms of development. It’s priorities relate to the natural environment, the air we breathe, wide open spaces and the integrity of the countryside.

Green Belts will not work well in all areas, and success hinges a great deal on the surrounding environment. These areas occasionally end up in uneven borders and the creation of “satellite towns,” which work more like suburbs than independent communities even though they are technically detached from urban areas by a Green Belt.

Although there is evidence that it is an ancient concept, in the contemporary world this kind of policy was started in the 1930s in Great Britain. You can find fourteen Green Belts in England today. Known as green space or greenspace in the United States, the boundaries tend to be smaller and are usually confined to small spaces, such as parks.

Mandated city plans, restrictive covenants, or land use designations are the usual ways in which these are established. Several communities have placed a priority on such installations, encouraging people to think about the significance of city planning on the natural environment.

A major criticism of this derives from the fact that a Green Belt is likely to spur the expansion of areas a great deal further away from the middle of the city, increasing urban spread. Urban sprawl has become a genuine predicament in Ottawa, Canada, in the suburbs of both Kanata and Orleans. Other problems, such as travelling difficulties and land reserve issues, can develop with this.

A Green Belt has its pros and cons, but it is more optimistic concerning its effects on the environment. Conserving water, regulating temperature and giving a home for wildlife are three important priorities relating to a Green Belt. It is a move in the right direction, even according to its many critics.

Shrinking World

The world population reaches 7 billion. Did you ever wonder how our precious Earth can hold that many people? What good is breaking our planet in terms of resources to support all of us?

Because of hunger and lack of opportunities, people from rural areas migrate to cities. They moved their families to the cities in hopes of a better life. Instead they find themselves living in conditions worse than before.

How many cities host this slum (or informal settlers, if we want to be politically correct) people? Studies show that there is an illegal family about half a million Filipinos living in Metro Manila. With a membership of households an average of 7, we can estimate about 3.5 million squatters in Metro Manila. 3.5 million people living in emergency housing often without water or waste.

It is not uncommon to see people who live along the waterways. Without proper sanitation, we can all imagine where they throw their waste. The rivers are dying if not dead because they were allowed to live there.

Metro Manila’s population has grown more than it can handle. There are more people than there are a number of jobs metropolis can offer. Many families resort to wild collect whatever they could save from landfills. It is only in Metro Manila. There are similar situations in other cities in the Philippines.

Metro Manila to shrink in terms of habitable space that is actually expanding to become a megalopolis. Nearby suburbs are now being developed to appeal to families living in Metro Manila. Rice fields are being converted into residential areas reduced mass of our source for food.

Trees are felled to give way to the villages. Then we heard a big flood occurred. It’s great flood which had sounded a few years ago. With the indiscriminate and reckless cutting of trees for our waterways, it does not take a genius to figure out what caused the flooding.

Earth’s population to reach 7 billion. Of these 7 billion, how many live out of poverty? How much will dispose of their waste water along the channel causing it to die? How many will be affected by the floods? How many of the 7 billion people will live in the community converted from paddy fields? How many of the 7 billion people will live in villages converted from forest?

Our habitable space is shrinking. Our resources are shrinking. How many people can the earth support, we really do not know. There are too many questions. Our world is shrinking. But every body deserve a piece of our planet, including future generations. Let us realize what is happening to our Earth is now on their behalf.

Soon we will celebrate Earth Day. We again will focus on emissions, recycling, global warming, and the environment. I hope the nearly 7 billion people will join in the celebration of the earth.
